Summer is in full swing, and for those of us lucky enough to snag an internship for the summer, we’re spending our mornings stressing over what to wear. The typical college look of Nike shorts and a t-shirt just won’t cut it. We’re advised to dress smart casual or business casual on a daily basis, and with a small income that can be hard to achieve. Today I’m sharing my 5 outfits for a summer internship!
All of these pieces came straight from my closet. Except for the pants, there was no additional purchasing of clothes! And I’m pretty proud about that! I tried my best to find the links to all off the items or at least find some sort of similar option. Hope you enjoy!
I’m all about subtle details, and the crochet overlay on this top does just that!
PANTS: Costco Buffalo David Bitton Ladies’ Ankle Length Skinny Pant in Grey
These are my new favorite pants. They’re stretchy, soft, and dressy enough for work. I’m 5’2″ and typically wear a size 0 or 1/2 in pants. These are the size 2 and they fit great! Just the right length as well which is hard to find for a short frame.
NECKLACE: Nordstrom Rack
* Can’t find the one pictured, but this one from Charming Charlie’s would look just as cute!
SHOES: Target circa 2012ish
PANTS: Costco Buffalo David Bitton Ladies’ Ankle Length Skinny Pant in Black
Again with the subtle details. The buttons on the back of this top add just that extra amount of detail that really makes it stand out!
NECKLACE: Forever 21
*Original is no longer offered, but this one is very similar
*These aren’t the exact ones, but they’re adorable and I really want them for myself
This is one of the simpler outfits from the week, but it’s so comfy! Those pants are stretchy and a nice loose sweater really ties it all together!
TOP: Old Navy
NECKLACE: Nordstrom Rack
A simple grey t-shirt paired with black pants and a gold necklace is one of my favorite looks. It’s neutral (which I love!) and it looks simple and elegant.
NECKLACE: Top Shop
FRIDAY aka CASUAL FRIDAY
What I love most about this outfit is the pop of color in the shoes and the zipper on the back of the shirt! Zippers are one of my weaknesses when it comes to shirts, and it makes this plain black t-shirt a little more unique.
PANTS: American Eagle Jeans
What do you wear during a typical work week? Are you spending your summer at an internship? I’d love to know!
