I wanted to ease into the back-to-school season with one of my favorite kinds of posts: a DIY! In today’s post I’ll show you how to make this adorable clothespin wreath/picture display. Not only is this super inexpensive and simple to make, it’s fully customizable to your color scheme and look! Perfect for your bedroom, dorm room, or office, this clothespin picture display is perfect for showcasing those photos, notes, and hand lettering pieces!
For my dorm room this year, I’m going for a more put together, gallery wall look instead of posters and pictures all over the wall. I figure I’m past that typical freshman year poster decor and it’s time for me to move on to something a little more sophisticated. What look are you going for in your dorm room or apartment this year?

Hello friends! I am back this week with another dorm room tour. I’ve been putting this off for a while because in case you don’t know, my dorm is usually messy a good 80% of the time so taking these pictures was a struggle. I am really excited for this post because I love reading other people’s posts like this! So, in case you were wondering, here’s what my current college dorm looks like!
Immediately when you walk in to my dorm room, you’re greeted with a view of my side. The bed is positioned in the far back corner with my desk and dresser lined up at the end. I really like this setup because it separates sleeping from homework and food and everything like that. If you’re wondering where the stuff in my room is from, a good 95% of it is from Target. It’s December 1st! Well, when I’m writing this it’s December 1st… That means it’s time for holiday everything. Music, decorations, and sweaters. I wanted to add some festivity to my dorm room, but because I’m limited on space, a Christmas tree just isn’t feasible. All of these decorations are made strictly with construction paper or plain printer paper. Why spend a ton on decorations when you’re just going to have to store them in your already small dorm room? Not only do the decorations take up little to no space, they’re also recyclable. When the holiday season is over, you can just throw these little guys in the recycle bin! (Not the trash. We’re trying to be environmentally friendly here.)
Before I begin, I want to apologize for how not in focus some of the images are. I tried my best to get sharp images, but my camera just did not want to cooperate with me.

It’s time for my dorm room tour!! I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time, and the timing is finally right! I waited a little over a month because I wanted to be fully settled in and have my room the way I wanted it. It hasn’t changed that much since my move-in day post, but I also wanted to give a more in-depth tour! KEEP READING “Dorm Room TOUR: Fall 2015”
This past week has been a whirlwind. I left Columbia on Tuesday due to the natural disaster that was occurring at the time. School was canceled all of last week due to flooding and water problems. Needless to say, I had plenty of time on my hands and I was itching to do something crafty. I’ve done several DIY projects for my dorm over the summer, but my room still needed more decorations!
