College. It seems like one minute I have my life together, all my assignments are in order, and everything’s going well. Then the next minute I have five papers due, three tests to study for, and seven blog posts to write all in one week. Ok yes that may be a bit exaggerated, but that’s what it feels like. And I’m probably not alone.
College can be a huge learning curve for some people. It’s the first time you really have your whole life in your hands. And if you’re not careful, things can get out of hand (ha see what I did there?) really fast. But, fear not! It can be easy to stay on top of your assignments! All it takes is a bit of planning and not procrastinating to make sure you never miss an assignment again. Today I’m sharing with you the ways that I make sure I never miss an assignment.

Hello friends! I know a lot of us have already started school or are heading back in a few short weeks which means hello stress, long nights, and endless cups of coffee. That could be your semester, or you could have a stress-free, sleep-filled, exciting semester! I want everyone to have a successful semester with minimal stress because we’re all way too young to be stressing this much about school. Now is as good of a time as any to figure out how to have a great semester.
This post is full of tips from me and other college bloggers across the web. Originally, I wanted to write a whole post about all of these topics, but then I realized it’d be like 3,000 words long and no one wants to read that, nor did I want to spend 3 hours writing out a post. It’s important to start off the semester off right in order to have a successful few months. After all failing to plan is planning to fail. And we definitely don’t want to fail, do we?
Ever since I started this blog back in June of 2015, I’ve written out my goals for each semester. There’s just something about solidifying my goals in a blog post that makes me more likely to complete them. This semester is no different, and the outcomes of my goals have definitely changed since last year. I’m focusing more on improving myself both mentally and physically instead of the social aspects of my life.
I was so focused on school and doing well last year, that I let my mental health fall. Instead of letting myself fall back into that place, I’ve set goals to keep me motivated, happy, and involved. After all, if I’m not happy with myself, how can I be truly happy around other people? Not only am I working on improving myself, I also have a ton of fun things lined up this semester! I can’t wait to see how everything turns out.

Happy official back-to-school everyone! I started classes yesterday, and with every first day of school comes some first day essentials. For those of you who may be heading to college for the first time this year, the first day is super intimidating, scary, and exciting all at the same time. But, don’t fret! I’m here to share my first day of class college essentials because there’s nothing worse than showing up unprepared.
First off, embrace and enjoy syllabus week. Syllabus week is the first week of classes because you don’t really do much except go over the syllabus (hence the name). Your professor may mention the class expectations, whether or not you need the textbook, and other important factors for you to be successful throughout the semester. Clearly there’s not much you physically need for that first day, but success in college comes from a lot more than just a notebook and pretty pen.

Long time no see Internet friends! After a week off, life has finally settled down and I’m back to blogging. If you want to hear all about what I’ve been doing the past week, be sure to sign up for my newsletter! Thanks to a Twitter poll, today’s post is all the school supplies you need for college. Well, this is everything I use and swear by!
The idea of shopping for school supplies in college can be a bit stressful, especially if you’re the oldest child and have no idea what to expect. College isn’t like high school where you have a locker to shove all the stuff you don’t need. You, instead, pack everything in your bag for the day – textbooks and all. Buying school supplies in college comes down to saving space and portability.

It’s that time! You’ve successfully bought everything you think you need for college and you’re ready to start packing. There’s just one problem: you have no idea where to start. The buying and planning are the fun part, but the back just straight up is no fun at all. But, don’t worry! I’m here to show you how I manage to get all of my stuff from my house to my dorm room in one piece with as little headaches as possible! I moved into my dorm just yesterday, and I took lots of pictures along the way and I’ve included them into the post.
First off, the most important this is to not overpack. Yes I know. Trying to get incoming freshman to not overpack is like arguing with a brick wall. It’s just the fact of the matter. But, if you’ve checked out my Ultimate College Packing List, you’ll know exactly what you need to bring and what you can leave at home! None of that extra, unnecessary stuff that a lot of the Pinterest articles cover.
