Top 5 Dorm Foods
Eating is a major part of college. Whether it’s late-night snacks, or early morning breakfasts, having food in your dorm is essential. Now, this is a list of my top five dorm foods. This is not a list of top five healthy dorm foods. These are just foods that I enjoy to have in my room because they make great snacks on occasion. If you constantly eat these, the freshman 15 will be real.
Ramen. I have no idea how a college student can live without ramen. I typically eat it as a late night snack or if I’m up super late studying. It’s also great for when you’re sick. Plus, it’s super cheap. Otherwise, any kind of soup is great. I also have the Campbell’s Soup on the Go. Fewer calories and just as good.
Mac n’ Cheese. This is a close second to ramen, but easy mac is another fabulous choice. It’s warm and filling. Another staple item. I don’t buy this one as often because it is more expensive. There’s a massive debate between college students about whether ramen or easy mac is better. I think ramen is the clear choice.
Granola. Granola is another one of my favorites. It’s a great snack and it’s also great for breakfast! I love to throw it on top of some yogurt. It’s filling, nutritious, and delicious.
Cheez-its. Does this even need and explanation? I don’t think so. I’m into salty snacks if you couldn’t tell and these are delicious. I usually get the reduced fat version because I don’t need all those calories from the regular ones. This is a staple in my dorm room.
Cereal. Cereal is great, but you have to be careful. Cereal can be extremely expensive. I love mini-wheats. These make for a great in-between class snack or a late afternoon snack when it’s not quite time to eat dinner.
Like I said, this is in no way a healthy dorm room food list. These are comfort foods that I love to eat! What are your favorite dorm foods? Or, what are your favorite snacks? I love hearing from you all!!
