A Little Bit About the Blogger Roundtable
Y’all I love blogging so much. I’m writing this late on a Sunday night after the second Blogger Roundtable, and honestly I couldn’t be happier. Blogging has changed my life and being able to talk face to face with the people who motivate and inspire me is one of the greatest feelings in the world. You may be asking yourself, “What is this post even about?” and “What on earth is the Blogger Roundtable?” I’ve spoken a little bit about it in the past on Twitter, in monthly recaps, and on my YouTube channel, but today I wanted to dedicate a whole post to a project that I’ve fallen in love with.
I was inspired to start the Blogger Roundtable back in July after participating in so many Twitter chats but always wanting to talk face-to-face with other bloggers. Talking behind Twitter handles is great and convenient, but there’s just something about actually seeing the person you’re talking to. And with that, the Blogger Roundtable was born. I chatted with a few other bloggers about the idea, and everyone seemed to love it.
I’m the kind of person that wants to announce and release an idea immediately after it hits my brain, and it was so hard not to immediately share the plan for this project. I took my time outlining the process of receiving applications, designing logos, and creating e-mail templates.
Each month, I decide on a theme for the chat to follow, but the questions are left up to the bloggers. Twitter chat themes are typically about social media, photography, and other blogging related things, but I wanted this to be different. Instead of solely focusing on one topic, I wanted us to discuss our lives and our blogs in relation to seasons, holidays, and other events. Our blogs are heavily influenced by holidays and seasons, so why not incorporate them into the monthly chat!
Trial & Error
The first Blogger Roundtable was held back in August, and let me tell you, the nerves were high for that one. Would people even watch? Would any bloggers actually join? Would I be too awkward? Would we even have questions to talk about? Overall, the chat went well, especially for the first time. But as with any first time, there are definitely some things that we decided could be better! Shoutout to Gabby, Cathleen, and Amelie for all the wonderful suggestions.
- Have bloggers come up with a few questions
- Have the chat season themed or something not like Twitter chats
- Send out Roundtable invites earlier than the week of (whoops on my part)
September 25th
This was by far the best Blogger Roundtable so far. All of the questions were amazing, the fact that it was fall themed made my day, and the openness of all of the bloggers was perfect! This month we were joined by:

Want to join?
We’re always looking for new bloggers to join, and we’d love to have you! If you’ve been blogging for at least three months and are an active blogger (aka posting at least once a week), you can check out the Blogger Roundtable page or apply HERE. Just fill out the simple application, and you’ll receive an e-mail from me within the week.
I can’t wait for the next Blogger Roundtable in October! If you’re eligible, I’d love for you to apply.
