What I’m Taking Home for Thanksgiving
Hello, hello!
I know it’s Wednesday, and I don’t usually post on Wednesdays. To be completely honest, I spent all weekend with the boyfriend and I totally forgot to write a post for yesterday (Tuesday). It’s also been a hot minute since I’ve posted, and I’ve got a whole explanation post lined up for either this Friday or next week. Hopefully, I’m back for good or at least for awhile.
Anyways, I’m coming to you on this lovely day before Thanksgiving with a little bit of a different post. I texted Caitlyn (aka my blogging bestie) about whether or not I should do a ‘What I Packing for Thanksgiving’ post, and her response was, “Yes because I’m nosy and I literally started packing last night lol.” So here we are with all the things I’m taking home for Thanksgiving.
I love Thanksgiving. It’s probably one of my favorite, if not my most favorite, holiday of the year. Not only do I get to stuff my face for two days with delicious foods, it’ a wonderful excuse to do my makeup, dress up, and feel fancy.
Thanksgiving Day
Our Thanksgiving that occurs on Thanksgiving Day is a bit more formal, and it’s my one excuse to look extra nice. I usually don’t go for dresses because I don’t own many. But this year I was dead set on wearing a dress for Thanksgiving day. Trust me, there’ll be plenty of pictures on Instagram because I’m already in love with this look.
Shoutout to my boyfriend for driving me around all of last weekend to find the dress, the tights, and the belt. You’re the best.
Dress: Old Navy
Tights: Marshall’s
Belt: T.J. Maxx
Necklace: Forever 21
Thanksgiving Round 2
Our second Thanksgiving takes place on Black Friday. We say we’re just avoiding all the crowds, but it’s really just another excuse to eat delicious food for the second day in a row.
This Thanksgiving takes place at a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere in Virginia so I kept things a bit more casual with this look. Layering is very important for this outfit as well because we’re outside all day and the temperature easily fluctuates.
Flannel: Marshall’s
Shirt: Old Navy
Jeans: Costco

College Football Saturday
If you’re in college, you know that the Saturday of the week of Thanksgiving is the highlight of the entire football season. Rivalry week is in full swing, and it’s typically when you play your school’s biggest rival.
For us, it’s Clemson.
I like to subtly show my school spirit, hence the garnet shirt and cream sweater. It’s classy gameday attire LOL. We’ve got a party to go to for the game so I’m focusing on warmth and comfortability all while repping that garnet and black.
Sweater: Target

Here’s a quick overview of all the makeup I’m taking. It includes some of my old staples as well as some of my newest favorites. I was going to list everything out, but if you have any questions about any of these products, let me know in the comments!
Are you a turkey lover or are you a ‘sides all the way’ kinda person? Personally I’m a green beans, mashed potatoes, and dressing kind of girl. Oh, and I can’t forget the pumpkin pie! Let me know what your favorite Thanksgiving dish is down in the comments.
