Dorm Room TOUR: Fall 2015
It’s time for my dorm room tour!! I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time, and the timing is finally right! I waited a little over a month because I wanted to be fully settled in and have my room the way I wanted it. It hasn’t changed that much since my move-in day post, but I also wanted to give a more in-depth tour!
OK! So I’m going to start with my closet! This summer when I was reviewing what to pack and stuff, I was told to not bring a lot of clothes because college closets are tiny. When I moved in, it was a really nice surprise to find such a big closet! I brought a lot of clothes because I wouldn’t be going home that often and wanted to make sure I had everything I needed. On the shelf above my clothes, I have extra towels and washcloths, extra toiletries and paper towels, and then all my camera gear. On the inside of my door, I have a towel rack. At the moment, I’m currently storing my clutches.
Below is my printer and desk area. It’s usually a disaster, but I cleaned it just for these pictures. I have my printer and all of my beverage accessories on top of my dresser. This includes my single-serve coffee maker, my water boiler, and my Brita water filter. I also have a washcloth that I use to put my clean dishes on after I wash them.
On my desk I keep all of my makeup brushes, pens, pencils, markers, and other office supply accessories. My desk drawers are a disaster so I did not take pictures of them. In the drawers I keep makeup, extra school supplies, markers, cards and envelopes, etc. I know. Super exciting.
I got this three-shelf bookcase from Target when I moved in. It’s great to use as a nightstand and to keep books and binders on. I’ve noticed that in dorm rooms there’s a lack of vertical storage. This helps with that problem. Under my bed is a bottomless pit of plastic bags, boxes, and food. You can check out my top five dorm foods here, but other than that I’m not going into detail of what’s under my bed.
I got my bedding and decorative pillows from Target. Imagine that. All of my posters are from amazon, and they all cost under $5 a piece. I made a lot of my dorm decor and you can check it out here! So far, I’m in love with how my room looks, but it’ll probably change by next semester.
Do you have any dorm room storage tips? I love hearing from you!
