Christmas Day Recap
It’s crazy that Christmas is already over! I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas or whatever holiday you do or don’t celebrate. This year, I spent Christmas at home with my family, and as always, it was so much fun. I thought I’d do a post covering what went down on Christmas day and how I celebrated throughout the holiday season!
This year I partook in Vlogmas which was so much fun and also a lot of work. I’m not the most interesting person, so capturing my every day life and trying to make it seem fun was a chore some days 🙂 But, if you want to see what went on during December, you should definitely go check out my YouTube channel!
I’m 18 years old, but I still act like I’m 5 years old on Christmas. The excitement of waking up early and seeing what Santa left is such an amazing feeling that only really happens on Christmas morning. Every year, I do sleep in later and later. This year, we woke up around 8 am and headed downstairs. Santa must’ve been on a budget or something because of all of our gifts were in a cardboard box. It was actually quite funny. I got a lot of good stuff this year, but what I’m looking forward to the most is getting my new laptop sometime in the next two weeks. I have basically killed the one I use now, and am in desperate need of a new one. If you want to see the highlights of what I got, go check out my What I Got for Christmas post! there’s a video to go along with it!!)
My family likes to do Christmas brunch instead of Christmas dinner. There’s just something about eating a delicious egg casserole, bacon, and biscuits in your pajamas that isn’t the same with a formal Christmas dinner. You can check out the egg casserole I made in my Vlogmas Day 23 vlog. It turned out so well!
The rest of my family came over at around 11 to eat Christmas brunch. We played around with some of the gifts that Santa brought, and then it was time to open our gifts! This year, the family decided to do a big gift swap instead of buying people individual presents. It was no ordinary gift swap. This was an As Seen On TV gift swap. Basically, each gift had to be around $25 and consist of only As Seen On TV products. I’ve never had a better Christmas. It was so much fun to see all of the crazy products that people gave, and surprisingly there were no duplicates! And, even though the gifts were drawn from a huge pile, everyone seemed to get something that fit their needs. I highly suggest doing an As Seen On TV Christmas!
Gifts had been exchanged, and it was time for everyone to take a long nap. Some of our family left, and the rest just crashed in chairs and couches. We were out of commission for about three hours haha. For some reason, we also decided to have a somewhat traditional Christmas dinner. Don’t ask me why. We were all stuffed and exhausted, but there was still turkey to be eaten! My dad smoked a turkey and that was the most delicious thing I’ve ever eaten.
I ate way too much, slept way too little, and now need to go to the gym more than ever. I wouldn’t change a thing about how this Christmas went. How was your Christmas? What do you do to celebrate? I’d love to hear about it!
Happy Holidays!
