Fall Activities to Help You Live Your Basic White Girl Life
Seasons didn’t used to be my thing. I could’ve cared less about going from summer to fall or from spring to summer. When someone would ask me what my favorite season was, my answer would always be ‘I don’t have one.’
Now if you ask me what my favorite season is, there’s a 87.9% chance that I’ll blurt out the word FALL faster than me clicking on the new Shane Dawson & Jake Paul video…
Why do I love fall so much?
- Pumpkin bread. Need I say more?
- Flannels. Again, need I say more?
- Not being drenched in sweat when I walk to class.
- Wearing fun socks with my shoes.
I want to share my love of fall with you and show you 3 ways you can celebrate the season without leaving your wallet high and dry.
Take a fun, fall-themed class
If you’ve listened to the podcast or read my last coffee & chit chat life update post, you’ll know that at the beginning of October, I attended a pumpkin succulent and coffee event *insert heart eye emoji here*
This was a different take on a combination of traditional fall activities.
Pumpkin spice lattes… Pumpkin decorating… and delicious pumpkin muffins.
This event was run by Magnolia Thyme, a local succulent business. Check your local events to see if there are any fall-themed classes going on!
Go to a fall festival
Cliché? Yes. Worth it? 100%.
We drove about an hour north to attend the Windy Hill Fall Festival. Tickets were fairly inexpensive and you got a free glass of hard cider with the purchase of your ticket… That’s worth it enough for me.
So this is what happens when I ask my boyfriend to take pictures of me with my nice camera… I was envisioning some high-quality shots of me prancing around an orchard in my flannel… This is what I ended up with.
The rain didn’t stop us from having fun, nor did it stop
Check your local farms and orchards to see when or if they have fall festivals! Even if they don’t have a fall festival, you can embody the fall season and go apple picking or go to a pumpkin patch or maybe just hit up Trader Joe’s and buy a pumpkin and carve it at your house and have your own fall festival.
Build a haunted house with your bestie
As we all know, Trader Joe’s is the best grocery store on the planet. (aside from all the plastic they use to package things… but that’s for another time)
Trader Joe’s has done it again with their haunted house cookie kit.
Yes, this kit is most likely aimed at children, but hey, it provided endless fun for my bestie and me to spend a night in and watch Floribama Shore.
If you like making and decorating gingerbread houses, you’ll love this haunted house from Trader Joe’s.
And the best part?? It’s only $7.99!!
Do you love fall as much as the rest of us?? What are your favorite fall activities?? I really want to go to a haunted house, but I’m not too sure if that’s in the cards for me this year… maybe next year!
