The Rifle Paper Co. Planner

An in-depth review of Rifle Paper Co.'s 2018 planner. Perfect for college students, millennials, or busy moms. Stunning designs and great functionality.

Annnnnd this marks the beginning of back-to-school posts! But Abigail, we literally just celebrated the 4th of July and I still have a solid month and a half before I even start school… Y’all I know, but hear me out because at the end of this post, I have a really exciting surprise for all my amazing readers! Trust me, you’re not going to want to miss this. (Or you can just scroll to the bottom and check out the surprise).

I hope y’all had an amazing 4th of July with friends, family, delicious food, and beautiful fireworks. Today I’m partnering up with Rifle Paper Co. (I know I’m still in shock this is happening) to bring you a post all about my go-to planner for college. Not only is it stunning, but it’s practical, affordable, and effective. I used a Rifle Paper Co. planner for the entirety of my sophomore year (you’ve definitely seen it in a lot of my Insta posts), and I am honestly just as excited to break open this bad boy on my first day of class in August.

And yes, I am so stoked for school to start. No judgement please.

For those of you who’ve never heard of Rifle Paper Co. before, where have you been living? Haha just kidding, but you should know of Rifle Paper Co. because their designs and products are TO DIE FOR. No joke.

Rifle Paper Co. is a family-owned stationery company turned international brand whose designs have taken over the stationery/Instagram/Pinterest world. You may have seen some of their work in their collaboration with Keds or in your local Anthropologie store. What I love most about this brand is one of the founders, Anna Rifle Bond, hand paints each and every one of the patterns. The hand-crafted nature of her designs truly shines through no matter whether it’s featured in fabric, on planners, on shoes, or any of their other amazing products.

This year they were generous enough to send me their 17-month large spiral planner in the print Herb Garden. No image can do this pattern justice. It’s absolutely breathtaking in person, and I love how it even fits the new mint colors of my blog!

You can see the size differences between last year’s 17-month covered spiral classic planner (pictured on the right) and this year’s large spiral planner (pictured on the left). While I loved my planner from last year, I did find the full month spreads to be a little smaller than I’d like. That issue is no more with the new large spiral planner!

Whether you want the larger, open-spiral option or the smaller, closed-spiral choice, they both retail at $34. Now y’all may be like, “Abigail $34 is ridiculous for a planner.” But hold up. Compared to some of the other planners out there, this one falls right in line. It’s $34 well spent in my opinion.

Features I Love

  • Full monthly spreads
  • Plenty of space for all my daily to-do’s
  • Weekly quote (y’all know how I love my quotes)
  • Sturdy hardback cover
  • BEAUTIFUL design

So when it comes to stationery, I’m really big on the quality of the paper and the way my pen writes on said paper. Weird, I know, but ask any blogger, we are all sticklers about that.

You know how you’ll run your hands over a sheet of paper, and you’ll just think to yourself, “Wow this paper is probably one of the nicest pieces of paper I’ve ever felt.” Nope? Just me? Alright, well that’s the reaction I have when I’m using this planner. And my pen. Y’all my pen writes so smooth on this paper. All I want to do is doodle all day long because it’s that nice.

I know you probably think I’m insane at this point because I just wrote way too many words on how excited I am over the quality of a piece of paper…

One unique thing about the layout of this planner is that all of the monthly spreads are grouped together at the beginning of the planner. This takes some getting used to at first, but I actually find it much more handy than when the monthly spreads are directly in front of the daily spreads for said month.

Okay Abigail, you just wrote 854 words on a planner, let’s just get to the surprise why don’t we?

Shoutout to Rifle Paper Co. for being so generous because they are allowing me to give out two hundred 15% off discount codes!

The codes go live on July 10th and will be valid for 30 days. SO if you’re reading this between the day this post went live and August 10th, fill out the form and I’ll send a code your way!

I hope y’all know that I truly love this planner, and I wouldn’t be sharing it with you if I didn’t hold it to such a high standard. Here’s to many more back to school posts, and I am counting down the days ’till I can use this planner, haha.

What’s your favorite planner for school/life?
