A Day in the Life

Welcome to a day in my life! I’ve always wanted to do one of these, but when I’m at school, it’s hard to remember to take pictures of everything and keep track of what you’ve done that day. Since I’m on summer break, I thought why not give you a glimpse into my daily life! Today was actually a day where I finally feel better and I got out and did stuff. Hope you enjoy!

a day in the life

8:00 AM: I typically wake up around 7 or so, but since I’ve been really sick, I’ve been sleeping in a bit more. I usually get up, check social media, and head downstairs.

8:30 AM: Today I decided on oatmeal with brown sugar and almonds. Oatmeal is one of my favorite breakfast foods. It’s lower in calories than a bagel or a muffin, and it’s super good for you! While eating, I checked my e-mail and started updating my social medias for the day. I’ve been falling really behind on my Facebook page… but what blogger isn’t behind on their Facebook page?

This morning I also had a lovely e-mail from one of my readers! I love responding (sometimes in great length) to questions they/you ask. Plus, it really makes my day when someone messages me!

Fashion blogger moment. LOL well this is why I’m not a fashion blogger because I am not fashionable what so ever. But, this is what I threw on. I’m in love with the Patagonia shorts.

9:30 AM: My mom and I headed to the eye doctor for my annual check up. We stopped by Starbucks on the way there. I desperately needed coffee, and I got my regular caramel macchiato.

Granted she didn’t have to come with me, but it’s always nice to have someone to give a second opinion on glasses! I decided on these Elle glasses. I wanted something with a bit bigger frames and that weren’t red. I really wanted to stick with the red because Taylor Swift said she liked them, but it’s time for a change in my life.

11 AM: Finally back at home, I wanted to wear makeup so I applied my favorite products at the moment. Want to see a blog post on my must have makeup products? Let me know!

11:30 AM: Lunch time! We met up with my grandmother and went to Jason’s Deli for lunch. I got a delicious turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread with mustard, lettuce, and onions. Plus Lay’s baked ruffles are my favorite.

3:00 PM: We finally made it home after running a ton of errands for my grandmother and for ourself. Now it’s time to set up for my violin wedding rehearsal at 4!

4:00 PM: Wedding practice time! I haven’t really played my violin since November, and it was so nice to get back into the swing of things. There’s just something about communicating with people through sound but without words that amazes me.

5:45 PM: It’s time for dinner. Today we had a Asian-style stir fry. I threw in some peppers, cabbage, zucchini and squash, and some leftover asparagus from last night. I also cooked up some tofu in olive oil and soy sauce.

It may not look super appetizing, but it was delicious. This was by far one of my favorite meals since being back home! And, most of it was made from leftovers which is awesome!

7:00 PM: The mother and I headed to Tuesday Morning to find me a laundry hamper. Since being back at home, I just find it so much easier to do my own laundry. It keeps it separated and it’s going to be way easier to pack stuff come August.

9:00 PM: Shower time! I hit the shower usually around 8 pm, giving me time to decompress for the day, finish this blog post, and catch up on all of the YouTube videos from the day.

Did you like this post? Make sure to let me know if you want to see more “A Day in the Life” style posts because I love doing them!

@cattyelizabeth5 and I are back after 3 long months, and we’re so excited to share the first episode of season 5 of Girls Talk! It’s a good one and a pretty great way to spend an hour of your quarantine 💁‍♀️

I was 9 months in to my fitness journey, tracked macros like it was my job, and religiously went to the gym 5-6 days a week. Seeing this pop up in my “Memories” was just what I needed today because being stuck at home because of my susceptibility to lung problems and #covid_19 has left me highly unmotivated to workout...
