Here’s How to Stay on Top of Your Assignments

College. It seems like one minute I have my life together, all my assignments are in order, and everything’s going well. Then the next minute I have five papers due, three tests to study for, and seven blog posts to write all in one week. Ok yes that may be a bit exaggerated, but that’s what it feels like. And I know I’m probably not alone.

College can be a huge learning curve for some people. It’s the first time you really have your whole life in your hands. A Day in Chattanooga

Chattanooga, Tennessee, is one of those places that everyone should visit at least once in their life. There’s anything and everything outdoorsy to do, the local food places are delicious, and the aquarium is top-notch. When I went home to surprise my dad for his birthday (which went really well), I thought I was just going to be hanging out at home with the family. Instead, we took a quick day trip down to Chattanooga for my brother’s climbing meet. I’ve lived in Knoxville my entire life and have only taken the short hour and a half drive down to Chattanooga once in my life.

Things to do in Chattanooga, Tennessee | Places to Visit

That was back when I was about seven and my parents took my brother and I to the aquarium. While the aquarium is great, there’s so much more that Chattanooga has to offer that I wasn’t concerned about at seven years old. I’m so hooked on Chattanooga now, and I can’t wait for the next time I go back! So what’d I do this time around in Chattanooga?

Five Quick & Easy Healthy Snacks

I surely can’t be the only one who is starving by the time 3:00 pm rolls around. After a long day of class, studying, and trying to cross off everything on my to-do list, I’m pretty hungry. Hunger tends to take over my brain and I just want whatever source of carbs I can find. It’s easy to see why I want to stuff my face with chips, animal crackers, or a candy bar because carbs are a quick energy source. But, I know that if I down a candy bar or some animal crackers, I’m going to be hungry again in about 30 minutes.

5 Healthy Snacks Ideas | Perfect for college students on a budget

I refuse to keep any unhealthy food items in my room 99% of time because I have zero self-control around junk food. So, if it’s not here, I can’t eat it. When I’m looking for snack items, I’m focusing on macronutrient content – fats, carbs, and protein. Snacking on food higher in protein and fat keeps me fuller for longer and reduces my urges to snack for hours at a time.

How to Find Time for the Gym in College

Wanting to get into a gym routine while in college? Here's some tips for how to find time for the gym!

Let’s be honest, we all come to college with this grand idea of hitting the gym every day. There’s a free fitness center at our fingertips and maybe just maybe we’ll all get that dream body that we’ve wanted for forever. You start out strong, hitting the gym a few times during the first week of class, but then the stress and assignments start setting in and going to the gym becomes more of a chore than something you enjoy doing.

By the end of the semester, the gym is a complete afterthought, and then when you can’t fit into your favorite pair of jeans, you get frustrated with yourself because if only you’d stuck it out and gone to the gym as much as you had wanted to, you wouldn’t be in the position you’re in now. All of this can be boiled down into one quote: failing to plan is planning to fail.

Here’s How to Have A Great Semester

Here's How to Have a Great Semester | Tips & Tricks for Succeeding in College

Hello friends! I know a lot of us have already started school or are heading back in a few short weeks which means hello stress, long nights, and endless cups of coffee. That could be your semester, or you could have a stress-free, sleep-filled, exciting semester! I want everyone to have a successful semester with minimal stress because we’re all way too young to be stressing this much about school. Now is as good of a time as any to figure out how to have a great semester.

This post is full of tips from me and other college bloggers across the web. Originally, I wanted to write a whole post about all of these topics, but then I realized it’d be like 3,000 words long and no one wants to read that, nor did I want to spend 3 hours writing out a post. It’s important to start off the semester off right in order to have a successful few months. After all failing to plan is planning to fail. And we definitely don’t want to fail, do we?

 Start the semester off right:

August Recap

I swear, August has been the longest month of my life. From moving back to college, two weeks of residence life training, and school starting, I honestly feel like it should be mid-October by this point. This a big statement, but August has been the best month of 2016 thus far. I love being back at school, going to class, and hanging out with all of my new RM friends.

August Recap: life update, monthly favorites, & stats

This month was literally INSANE when it comes to stats and all of that. We’re talking triple the number of views from last month, and my social medias are still growing at a consistent rate. I’ve really been able to focus on blogging a lot more this month, and I cannot wait for September and fall and all the holiday posts that will be coming your way in the next few months.

I was 9 months in to my fitness journey, tracked macros like it was my job, and religiously went to the gym 5-6 days a week. Seeing this pop up in my “Memories” was just what I needed today because being stuck at home because of my susceptibility to lung problems and #covid_19 has left me highly unmotivated to workout...
