DIY Dorm Decor

DIY Dorm Decor Canvases and School Letters

I love to browse through the DIY & Crafts section of Pinterest. It’s how I spend a majority of my time. I’ve made countless DIY projects, and I love to keep making them, even though I’m running out of room to put everything. Well, I’m going off to college soon, and I figured that I needed to make some things for my room! (In fact, the day that this post goes live, I’ll be moving into my dorm!) I settled on making my school letters and door signs for my roommate and suite mates! I am in love with how everything turned out!

Mid-August Life Update

August Life Update Bloglovin' Blogger Buddies

Wait. It’s already the middle of August. Where did the time go? But, wow! What a crazy past couple of months! I knew 2015 was going to be a big year for me, but I had no idea it would be this big. I thought I’d give a little life update for you all, partially because I didn’t know what else to write about and partially because there’s so many things going on. I was busy meeting Taylor Swift, going to orientation, and working out!

How to Survive High School: GRADES

Surviving High School Grades

Welcome to my third installment of my “How to Survive High School” series! Today is my high school friends’ first day back at school! And in honor of another year, I thought I’d post my most import high school advice post: all about getting good grades.

In high school, grades seem to be the only thing that matter. I mean that’s whats going to get you into the college of your dreams, right? Well, kind of. While grades are important, they aren’t the end of the world. I know when I was in high school, that’s all I thought about–I constantly worried. What if I didn’t make an A on that test?! I was going to get a bad final grade in the class! And then I wouldn’t get into college!

My Workout Essentials

Workout Essentials

Working out is one of my favorite parts of the day. Oh my gosh. Wait. Did I really just say that? Yes, yes I did. Working out lets me clear my mind and just be. I typically work out once a day, either in the morning or the evening, whenever I have time. I go for about an hour and walk 3 to 3.5 miles. It’s a great way to feel better mentally, physically, and emotionally. It may not be hardcore exercise like running 3 miles, but with the amount of hill in my neighborhood, it’s quite strenuous. Today, I have all of my workout essentials!

How to Survive High School: RELATIONSHIPS

Surviving High School Relationships

I’ve been through high school. I’ve been in a relationship in high school. And I’m here to share the good, the bad, and the ugly with you. So this is my advice to you.

Yes, we’ve all seen the movies. The jock ends up with the nerd. The “ugly” girl is transformed into the prom queen and lands the hottest guy in school. Or the scariest guy in school gets paid to take out some girl’s sister so the new kid can date the younger sister. Sorry, I just couldn’t help but drop a 10 Things I Hate About You reference. That I my all-time favorite high school movie. But, anyways, back to high school relationships. The movies aren’t real–those things never happen. I would love if those plots actually happened in real life because I am a nerd. And that means I would end up with the hot, athletic guy.

Also, stress painted my nails last night because I was so nervous for a job interview I had today... anyone else feel like they suck at job interviews??

Taking some time outside of CrossFit to drill down and focus on my weightlifting technique. Snatches and cleans have always been a little intimidating and I’ve been scared to push myself on them for fear of injury. Looking forward to seeing how my lifts progress over the next few months!

Oh, and mental health is doing fantastically, too!

@cattyelizabeth5 and I are back after 3 long months, and we’re so excited to share the first episode of season 5 of Girls Talk! It’s a good one and a pretty great way to spend an hour of your quarantine 💁‍♀️
These photos were taken THREE YEARS AGO... honestl These photos were taken THREE YEARS AGO... honestly it feels like yesterday. I was 9 months in to my fitness journey, tracked macros like it was my job, and religiously went to the gym 5-6 days a week. Seeing this pop up in my “Memories” was just what I needed today because being stuck at home because of my susceptibility to lung problems and #covid_19 has left me highly unmotivated to workout...
I honestly forgot how productive I am whenever I w I honestly forgot how productive I am whenever I work from a coffee shop ☕️ No pantry full of food, no comfy bed, and no opportunity to take a nap. Working from home is great and all, but it can be so distracting 😂
