Make Your Own Paper Wreath for the Holidays

Happy Holidays! So sorry that I’ve been MIA for this past week, but finals are killing me and my motivation to do anything. As of today at 2 pm, I will be done with this semester, and honestly, I’m thrilled. But, for some reason, instead of all the studying I should have been doing, I’ve spent some of my time crafting away. If you saw my Vlogmas day 1 video, you’ll have seen this really awesome paper holiday wreath that I made. I also posted a picture on Instagram and have received countless questions on how I made it.

So, today I’m showing you exactly how I made my super festive holiday paper wreath! This will probably take you at most about 2 hours to complete, and it’ll cost you probably less than $10 depending on what supplies you have on hand. All you need is a stapler, some scissors, a bunch of green paper and a little (or a lot) or patience!

What is it with this year just flying by? Thanksgiving’s over, it’s full-on holiday season, and before I know it, school will be back in session in January. Yesterday was December 1st, and that means I’m fully in the holiday spirit (hello Christmas music, sweaters, pretty lights, and Christmas crafting) and Vlogmas has started! Since yesterday was the first official day of Vlogmas, make sure to check out the video at the end of this post or head over to my YouTube channel!

If you’re looking for people to follow for Vlogmas and Blogmas, make sure to check out my latest post for a list of some of my favorites! Moving right along into this monthly recap, I’m going to be skipping favorites for this past month partially because I ran out of time to take photos and partially because I didn’t keep track of what I’ve been loving the past month… oops! So, I hope you’ll be okay with a life update and a look at my stats for the month. [Read more…] about November Recap

First off, let’s talk about what Blogmas and Vlogmas are. Essentially, Blogmas and Vlogmas are a 25 day challenge for online content creators. There’s no official requirements, but you’re supposed to publish something every single day from December 1st until Christmas Day (aka December 25th). It’s content full of holiday goodness and festive fun! I’m not quite sure where the idea originated, but people are integrating the challenge on so many different social platforms – blogs, YouTube, Snapchat, Instagram, you name it. The Perfect Study Plan for Finals Week

Happy finals time, friends! It’s time to start prepping for getting those A’s. Starting early is the easiest way to ensure success. You may be thinking that “Oh, finals are a few weeks away. What’s there to worry about?” Finals are going to sneak up on you way faster than you think. I have my first final a week from today (well today as in the day this post goes live), and it’s time for me to start working on a finals study plan. Am I ready to start prepping for finals? Nope. But, it has to be done!

Don't fall behind this finals season! Create your very own finals study plan to make sure you get those A's and avoid all the unnecessary stress.

Today I’m going to be showing you my study schedule for finals. I started doing this last semester, and it really helped me organize my time and break down exactly what I have to do each day. This keeps me from accomplishing nothing because I’m so overwhelmed and just watch Netflix and surf Pinterest instead of studying for an exam that’s worth 20% of my grade… In past semesters, I’ve had a few easier classes that didn’t have finals, but this semester is completely different. I have five finals – one in each of my classes – and each class is as difficult as the next. It really gives me no break and also means I can’t slack on prepping for finals like I’ve done in previous semesters! Okay okay enough about me and my finals struggles. Here are the steps I take to ensure good grades and sanity during finals week! [Read more…] about The Perfect Study Plan for Finals Week

Thanksgiving Outfits & Another Photoshoot

Here we are, back again with another photoshoot shot on the historic Horseshoe. It’s finally cold here in Columbia, and I just couldn’t wait to take some photos in sweaters! My lovely co-worker and BFF took these pictures, and I’m so thrilled with how they turned out. Even though we did a fall shoot about a month ago, the leaves were still green which didn’t lead to a very festive, fall look. The leaves are now changing and the picture opportunities are endless.

These are a couple looks that I am planning on wearing this year for Thanksgiving. Sweaters are essential and the heeled booties add a little spice to an otherwise boring outfit. Both sweaters were purchased from Target last year and the booties are from Old Navy this year.

Taking some time outside of CrossFit to drill down and focus on my weightlifting technique. Snatches and cleans have always been a little intimidating and I’ve been scared to push myself on them for fear of injury. Looking forward to seeing how my lifts progress over the next few months!

Oh, and mental health is doing fantastically, too!

@cattyelizabeth5 and I are back after 3 long months, and we’re so excited to share the first episode of season 5 of Girls Talk! It’s a good one and a pretty great way to spend an hour of your quarantine 💁‍♀️

I was 9 months in to my fitness journey, tracked macros like it was my job, and religiously went to the gym 5-6 days a week. Seeing this pop up in my “Memories” was just what I needed today because being stuck at home because of my susceptibility to lung problems and #covid_19 has left me highly unmotivated to workout...
