Spring Cleaning | #AdultingWithAbigail

Hello, hello!

So exciting news! I’m moving into my very first big girl house next year! We haven’t found a place just yet, but we’ve decided (we as in me and my roommate for next year) that we’re going to live in a house instead of an apartment. Houses are a way more affordable option AND you get a whole place to yourself. No noisy neighbors, no loud upstairs noises, and no commotion in the hallways late at night.

That means I get to decorate, buy new adult things like a vacuum and dishes, and I no longer have to live in a 250 square foot room!

I wanted to share my excitement with you by sharing exactly what I’m doing to prepare myself for this move. Because I can’t possibly cover this entire moving process in just one post, I’m introducing yet another series on the blog. Say hello to #AdultingWithAbigail.

My Favorite Protein Energy Bites

Today I’m introducing you to quite possibly my favorite recipe I’ve ever made in my entire life. This recipe is pretty darn healthy (in moderation of course), and it’s my number one way I’ve found to satisfy my sweet tooth and not throw off my diet completely. I first shared these bad boys with y’all on my Instagram a few weeks ago and in my healthy habits post, and per your request, I’m sharing the recipe with you!

These little bites are extremely dense. It’s great because I feel completely satisfied after eating one or two of these guys. They’re made up of healthy fats, natural sugars, and protein. I don’t feel bad about snacking on these because I know they’re good for me!

This Weekend at Trader Joe’s

Chances are if it’s a weekend, you’ll find me at Trader Joe’s.

I used to be not a huge fan of good ‘ole TJ’s, but over the past year, I’ve become obsessed with their foods. It’s nice going into a store and not worry about high fructose corn syrup or other nasty ingredients that I do not want in my food.

Trader Joe’s has so many options when it comes to food (especially frozen), that it’s a college student’s dream.

I asked on my Instagram stories if y’all wanted to see a Trader Joe’s haul on the blog this week, and your response was an overwhelming “yes!”. (46 for yes, and 1 for no) I’m always trying out something new every time I go in, and of course, I have the staple items that I cannot live without.

Healthy Habits I’ve Been Adopting

Hi, hello, it’s been awhile…

Alright so first it was spring break and I was having way too much fun enjoying my time away from social media at the beach to be concerned at blogging. Then there was a family emergency and I had to go home for almost an entire week so I was not about to be blogging during that time. Then there was all of last week where I was trying to play catch up from missing almost a week of school.

But I’m back. At least I think I’m back for a good while haha.

Also, stress painted my nails last night because I was so nervous for a job interview I had today... anyone else feel like they suck at job interviews??

Taking some time outside of CrossFit to drill down and focus on my weightlifting technique. Snatches and cleans have always been a little intimidating and I’ve been scared to push myself on them for fear of injury. Looking forward to seeing how my lifts progress over the next few months!

Oh, and mental health is doing fantastically, too!

@cattyelizabeth5 and I are back after 3 long months, and we’re so excited to share the first episode of season 5 of Girls Talk! It’s a good one and a pretty great way to spend an hour of your quarantine 💁‍♀️
These photos were taken THREE YEARS AGO... honestl These photos were taken THREE YEARS AGO... honestly it feels like yesterday. I was 9 months in to my fitness journey, tracked macros like it was my job, and religiously went to the gym 5-6 days a week. Seeing this pop up in my “Memories” was just what I needed today because being stuck at home because of my susceptibility to lung problems and #covid_19 has left me highly unmotivated to workout...
I honestly forgot how productive I am whenever I w I honestly forgot how productive I am whenever I work from a coffee shop ☕️ No pantry full of food, no comfy bed, and no opportunity to take a nap. Working from home is great and all, but it can be so distracting 😂
