Summer Haul

Hello internet friends! As you may know, I’m back home for the summer, and since moving back, I’ve given away a lot of my clothes because they just don’t fit anymore (thank you to the 10 lbs I gained during freshman year) or they’re just too young-looking for me. I also started an internship yesterday (yay!) and needed some nicer things. So, it was time to hit up the stores to see what I could find!

Old Navy is always a hit or miss for me, but I am in love with some of their shirts. They typically have really good sales going on all the time. I stopped by this past Saturday just planning to buy maybe two shirts… $74 later, I bought way more than two shirts.

A Day in the Life

Welcome to a day in my life! I’ve always wanted to do one of these, but when I’m at school, it’s hard to remember to take pictures of everything and keep track of what you’ve done that day. Since I’m on summer break, I thought why not give you a glimpse into my daily life! Today was actually a day where I finally feel better and I got out and did stuff. Hope you enjoy!

8:00 AM: I typically wake up around 7 or so, but since I’ve been really sick, I’ve been sleeping in a bit more. I usually get up, check social media, and head downstairs.

Unpacking

If there’s one thing in life that I despise more than packing, it’s unpacking. I just moved back home for the summer, and let me tell you, I have a ton of unpacking to do. Not only do I have to unpack clothes and dishes and toiletries, I also have to unpack my mind if that makes sense. I was really struggling with a post for today because I’ve been sick with strep throat and a really bad sinus thing. I’ve been staring at all of this stuff that I have to unpack, and I just decided why not write a post all about something that I’m dreading.

unpacking after college

Unpacking is no fun because for the past week, I can’t find anything. I can’t find my underwear. I can’t find my shorts. I can’t find my shaving cream. It’s like a game trying to find anything in this mess (as you can see from the picture, I’ve made a complete disaster out of the house).

Freshman Year Taught Me…

Freshman year of college has come to a close, and I have learned so much! As I was writing this list, it seems like a lot of these things are negative, but they’re really not! They’re super important life lessons, and as we all know, life lessons are all rainbows and butterflies. Freshman year was difficult for me because I’m not one to engage in the typical college culture (aka Greek life and drinking). I mean I’m typically in bed and asleep by 10:30…even on weekends. So, here’s what freshman year taught me!

A Look Back at Freshman Year

It’s over!!! Summer here I come! I honestly can’t believe that I’m done with my freshman year of college and the fact that I graduated high school an entire year ago. My oh my does time fly! In honor of today being my FIRST FRIDAY OF SUMMER, I thought I’d reflect and look back at my freshman year of college. Today I’ll be taking a look at my spring semester goals and my freshman year goals, seeing if I accomplished any of them, and just kind of reflect on the semester as a whole.

In case you are new here, I’m now a sophomore (wow, that’s feels really weird to say) computer information systems major at the University of South Carolina in the hottest city ever, Columbia, SC. I love it here, and I’m so glad I moved away from home!       [Read more…] about A Look Back at Freshman Year

Haven’t posted a mirror selfie in probably a year Haven’t posted a mirror selfie in probably a year and a half... feeling proud of my progress 💪🏼

Also, stress painted my nails last night because I was so nervous for a job interview I had today... anyone else feel like they suck at job interviews??

Taking some time outside of CrossFit to drill down and focus on my weightlifting technique. Snatches and cleans have always been a little intimidating and I’ve been scared to push myself on them for fear of injury. Looking forward to seeing how my lifts progress over the next few months!

Oh, and mental health is doing fantastically, too!

@cattyelizabeth5 and I are back after 3 long months, and we’re so excited to share the first episode of season 5 of Girls Talk! It’s a good one and a pretty great way to spend an hour of your quarantine 💁‍♀️
These photos were taken THREE YEARS AGO... honestl These photos were taken THREE YEARS AGO... honestly it feels like yesterday. I was 9 months in to my fitness journey, tracked macros like it was my job, and religiously went to the gym 5-6 days a week. Seeing this pop up in my “Memories” was just what I needed today because being stuck at home because of my susceptibility to lung problems and #covid_19 has left me highly unmotivated to workout...
I honestly forgot how productive I am whenever I w I honestly forgot how productive I am whenever I work from a coffee shop ☕️ No pantry full of food, no comfy bed, and no opportunity to take a nap. Working from home is great and all, but it can be so distracting 😂
